Circa 2009: Our daughter was getting older, and it was becoming more difficult to find modest, Islamic clothing that we would all be happy with. We found that friends had that experienced the same problem with their kids, too, and no one could suggest a good solution. With this issue in mind, we started Hayaa Clothing in May 2010.
The vision and goal for our small family business was to provide the community with beautiful, quality Islamic clothing at reasonable prices. We wanted to create a warm and helpful environment where Muslims and non-Muslims alike feel safe to experiment with different styles and find things they really love.
Five years into our journey, we’ve given hundreds of hijab tips and tutorials, dressed up so many little ones, and sifted through legions of ‘meh’ outfits to find that perfect pairing. We have met people from all over the world and had the privilege of listening to their stories. Some stories are happy, some are sad, some inspiring, and some wildly funny. All told by too many colorful characters to count.
